Concrete Jungle Safari

I've officially been living in New York City for almost two weeks and I must say...it's everything I hoped it would be. Crazy, frantic, and amazing. I arrived Thursday, interviewed Friday, and started my new job Monday! After that I have been apartment hunting like a mad woman, why is it so hard to find what you are looking for? There have been ups and downs for my roommates and I in the search but we are convinced we must be getting close. Mainly because we are getting close to our move date and need to pin something down! Eek!

{thanks weheartit.com}

This is the first time in my life that I have finally felt like I am living where I belong. I finally am not asked to constantly slow down and feel like I'm running against the grain of the city. I meet new people everyday and learning all kinds of new things, it is the most exciting experience. New York is like no other city on the planet. It has a heartbeat, a rhythm, and most importantly a promise. New York is truly a city where dreams come true. Recession or not, if you want something bad enough this is truly the city where if you keep knocking on doors you will eventually find one open. It is an inspiring and uplifting feeling that pushes me forward at my crazy pace as I race around finding an apartment I can stake claim as my own little home in the crazy concrete jungle.

Thanks for hanging in there with me mes cheries!
Soon enough we will be up and running back to normal ;)

So happy to hear you are loving the city. I was so in love with it when I moved here too, doing everything and anything I could. I still love it but it's the first year that really changes your life.
Looking for a nyc apartment is one of the most stressful things I've ever had to do so keep your chin up...it will come.
