I have always been an advocate for old fashioned afternoon tea parties. Dresses, hats, and gloves paired with sunny china, savory tea, and mini food....who can really resist? With all the buzz around the new Alice in Wonderland movie (which I have yet to see, but its on my list), I couldn't help but take a moment to dwell on my fondness for this pastime.

So put on a flowy dress, and borrow your grandmother's vintage accessories. Gather all your girlfriends and have a go at feeling classically rich. Attempt your most Martha Stewart tasty dish and channel your inner Jackie O.
Have you been to a tea party mes cheriess?
and Don't be late for a very important date! Time is running out on this awesome DIY giveaway!

I'm surrounded by brits at work. Every afternoon we have tea, sans gloves and hats and fun dresses :(
Fabulous idea! The weather is starting to warm up & now I am totally inspired! Thank you~ :)
I'm a Brit living on the West Coast, if I didn't have my tea I would go quite mad :) T.
I just started drinking tea again...cinnamon apple spice herbal tea...it smells so good. I will have to remind myself to indulge and get out one of my good china teacups to drink it out of!
I adore tea parties too but haven't been to one for ages, darling! Love this pic!

I love the idea of an old fashioned tea party. I've been collecting mix-matched china, silver and vintage table linens. When I get it all together, I do hope you'll come! Wouldn't that be fun?!
Have a fabulous weekend sweet friend!
Hugs,
Karn
