Random Smiles

Have you ever found a random note left for you? When I moved to France I have found tons of notes that my Mother somehow found a way to hide in all my luggage. She must've found time to hide them in the short time I was back at their house transitioning from my apartment to across the Atlantic, but it has been so nice to find little pieces of home when I least expect it.

This picture from Live Love Laugh on We Heart It made me think of that. I think surprises are the best things about life, its the unexpected that will catch you pleasantly off guard. I love the idea of leaving a lovely note for a stranger in a library book! Almost a "The Smile Goes On" kind of thought. Have you ever received a surprise note?

What note would you leave for someone?

And darlings don't forget to enter the Mega DIY Giveaway while you can!
Its the best Embellished Life giveaway yet, and what better way to Embellish your life than with an overflowing tote of Trimmings, studs, and notions?

Leaving nice post-its in library books - what a lovely idea! May I borrow it? I take out library books all the time and love the idea of bringing a smile to a complete stranger's face!

My Mum always used to leave notes for me whenever I was away from home, or in my school lunchbox or pencil case on test days! My husband does it too, on the rare occasions I'm away from him. It genuinely makes a difference, doesn't it?!

When my son starts school in September, Im sure he'll find the odd note from Mummy..!

That is so sweet. I love writing love notes, just to let people know that I'm glad to have them in my life.

I love this! I would love to come across a note in a library book!

I would probably leave something like "you're beautiful" because I think everyone needs to hear that now and again.

My boyfriend and I often do that, leave random notes for each other. I have a box of notes he has given to me. :)

And sweetheart, you may still not have found all the little surprise notes I hid for you. The love one person has for another person is the strongest power a person can ever possess!

I love you baby girl, mom
